How to Prevent Dry Skin and Chapped Lips in the Wintertime

Chapped lips and dry skin can be downright painful. When I was a child, my lips were so dry one winter that my parents had to get a prescription from the dermatologist to heal them. The medicated lip balm worked, but why were my lips so dry in the first place?

There are some common sense methods to address the root causes of chapped lips:

#1The problem may be dry heat. If you are living in an apartment in the city, dry heat can steal moisture from your skin. Maintain a dewy, glowing complexion by using an ultrasonic humidifier in your bedroom. I fill the one on my night table with reverse osmosis water and let the mist safeguard my skin all night.
